The Ministry of Health has finalized preparations for the deployment of the 2026/2027 Internship Cohort, with a total of 6,360 interns set to be posted across various healthcare facilities nationwide. The 12-month internship programme will commence on 1st July 2026.
The internship programme is a critical step in equipping pre-interns with the hands-on experience necessary to deliver quality and responsive healthcare services to the people of Kenya. The Ministry has released the full breakdown of positions available across various healthcare professional categories.

Internship Positions
Clinical Officer Interns (Diploma) – 2,096 Posts
BSc Nursing Officer Interns – 2,000 Posts
Medical Officer Interns – 875 Posts
BSc Clinical Officer Interns – 705 Posts
Pharmacy Officer Interns – 615 Posts
Dental Officer Interns – 69 Posts
Total – 6,360 Posts
How to Collect Offer Letters
All eligible pre-interns are required to collect their internship offer letters in person on Monday, 29th June 2026, at the Ministry of Health Headquarters, Afya House, Nairobi, from 9.00 a.m.
