What you will do:

You will supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and the project schedule. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections, checking the quality of workmanship and materials, and coordinating with subcontractors to resolve any technical issues. You will prepare daily progress reports, track material consumption, and ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times. The role involves managing a team of foremen, skilled tradesmen, and casual labourers, so strong leadership and communication skills are necessary. You will also attend site meetings with the project manager, consultants, and the client's representatives to discuss progress and resolve any pending issues. Experience with concrete works, structural steel, and building services installation is required. The position may involve working on multiple sites simultaneously, so time management and the ability to prioritise tasks are important.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
