Founded in 2005, the firm works with government agencies, real estate developers, mining companies, and infrastructure project owners. Stonegate employs twenty-five licensed land surveyors and GIS specialists and operates GNSS receivers, total stations, and drone survey equipment. The company is registered with the Land Surveyors Board of Kenya and has mapped over 500,000 hectares of land across the country.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This involves conducting compliance risk assessments, developing and updating compliance policies and procedures, and delivering compliance training to staff across the organisation. The role includes monitoring compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, data protection requirements, and industry-specific regulatory standards. You will prepare compliance reports for the board of directors, manage regulatory filings and submissions, and coordinate with external regulators during inspections and audits. The position requires a thorough understanding of the regulatory landscape in which the company operates and the ability to develop practical compliance solutions that balance regulatory requirements with business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
