About Pacific Trust

Pacific Trust is a microfinance institution that provides savings, credit, and micro-insurance products to low-income entrepreneurs, women's groups, and smallholder farmers in rural and peri-urban Kenya. Licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya, Pacific Trust was founded in 2005 and currently serves over 85,000 active borrowers through a network of eighteen branches and forty-seven agent outlets. The institution's loan portfolio stands at KES 4.2 billion with a non-performing loan ratio below three percent. Pacific Trust also offers agricultural lending tied to crop cycles and partners with ten insurance companies to provide weather-indexed crop insurance.

What you will do:

You will coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in full. Daily tasks include scheduling shipments, tracking consignments, resolving delivery issues, and communicating with transporters, warehouse staff, and customers. The role involves maintaining accurate records of all inventory movements, conducting regular stock counts, and investigating and resolving discrepancies. You will also prepare shipping documentation, including waybills, delivery notes, and customs declarations where applicable. The position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during peak periods when order volumes are high. Experience with ERP systems and freight management platforms is an advantage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices

If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, send your updated CV and a brief cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for the role. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within two weeks of the application deadline. Pacific Trust is an equal opportunity employer and does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
