About The Company
Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company Ltd (NAIVAWASCO) was established by the Water Act of Parliament in 2002. NAIVAWASCO was incorporated on 8th September 2005 and started operations in 2006 with shareholding by the then Municipal Council of Naivasha. The company provides water and sanitation services to the Naivasha community and surrounding areas.
Available Internship Positions
The following internship positions are available at NAIVAWASCO. Revenue Collection Intern, Accounts Intern, Projects Engineer Intern, Laboratory Assistant Intern, Electrician Intern, Customer Care Intern, Sales and Marketing Intern, Meter Reading Intern, Pro poor Intern, Plumbers Intern for 3 posts, NRW Intern, HR Intern, Communication Intern, and Procurement Intern.
The Revenue Collection Intern will assist in collecting and recording revenue from customers, reconciling payments, and supporting the finance team in debt collection efforts. The Accounts Intern will help with data entry, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and preparation of basic financial reports.
The Projects Engineer Intern will support the engineering department in project planning, site supervision, and monitoring of water and sanitation infrastructure projects. The Laboratory Assistant Intern will assist in water quality testing, sample collection, and maintaining laboratory records to ensure compliance with health standards.
The Electrician Intern will assist in electrical maintenance and repairs of water pumps, control panels, and other electrical equipment at company facilities. The Customer Care Intern will handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests while providing friendly and professional support to NAIVAWASCO customers.
The Sales and Marketing Intern will assist in promoting company services, developing marketing materials, conducting customer surveys, and supporting public awareness campaigns about water conservation. The Meter Reading Intern will assist in reading water meters, recording consumption data, and identifying any irregularities or leaks for follow up.
The Pro poor Intern will support initiatives targeting low income households, assist in community outreach programmes, and help implement pro poor water and sanitation access strategies. The Plumbers Interns for 3 posts will assist in plumbing repairs, leak detection, pipe installations, and maintenance of water distribution networks.
The NRW Intern will support Non Revenue Water reduction efforts by assisting in leak detection, illegal connection identification, and data analysis to improve water efficiency. The HR Intern will assist in recruitment processes, employee file management, leave tracking, and other human resource administrative tasks.
The Communication Intern will assist in internal and external communications, social media management, content creation, and public relations activities. The Procurement Intern will support the procurement department in supplier sourcing, purchase order processing, tendering procedures, and inventory management.
