KCB Foundation, in partnership with the County Government of Nyamira, has announced the 2Jiajiri Scholarship Programme for 2026. The initiative offers Grade 3 Level scholarships for various vocational courses at Vocational Training Centres within Nyamira County.
The programme targets youth aged 18 to 34 years who are residents of Nyamira County. It aims to equip young people with practical skills that enhance employability and entrepreneurship opportunities. The scholarship covers full training costs at selected institutions.

Interviews: 1st – 3rd July 2026
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must have a National Identity Card

Must be aged between 18 and 34 years

Must be willing to train at any of the listed institutions

Must be able to read and write in Kiswahili and/or English

Must commit to attending all training sessions including industrial placement

Must be a resident of Nyamira County
Three Applicant Categories
The programme targets three categories of youth:
Skillers – Existing micro-business owners with 1-5 years of operating experience, aged 25-35 years
Apprentices – Individuals who have worked under a supervisor for 6-12 months in their trade, aged 18-35 years
Business Owners – Registered or unregistered business owners in the informal sector, aged 25-35 years
How to Apply
Interested candidates must complete the official application form. Only complete applications will be considered. After submitting responses, applicants should select “save my responses,” download the filled form, and present it during the interview.
Interview Requirements
Candidates must present the following original documents during the interview:

Failure to produce these documents will lead to automatic disqualification.

About the 2Jiajiri Programme
The 2Jiajiri programme is a youth empowerment initiative by KCB Foundation that provides free vocational training, business development support, startup toolkits, and access to financing for unemployed youth and existing micro-entrepreneurs. Since its launch in 2016, the programme has trained over 35,000 youth and created more than 150,000 jobs across the region.
The programme targets sectors with high demand including agribusiness, construction, automotive engineering, beauty and personal care, domestic services, and ICT.
