About Silverline Industries

Silverline Industries is a textile and garment manufacturing company that produces workwear uniforms, hospital scrubs, hotel linens, and promotional apparel. The factory, located in Export Processing Zone Athi River, employs 600 machinists and support staff and operates forty-eight production lines. Founded in 2007, Silverline supplies uniforms to hospitals, hotels, security firms, and corporate clients across East Africa and also exports to the US under AGOA preferences. The company is WRAP-certified and complies with local and international labour standards.

What you will do:

You will supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and the project schedule. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections, checking the quality of workmanship and materials, and coordinating with subcontractors to resolve any technical issues. You will prepare daily progress reports, track material consumption, and ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times. The role involves managing a team of foremen, skilled tradesmen, and casual labourers, so strong leadership and communication skills are necessary. You will also attend site meetings with the project manager, consultants, and the client's representatives to discuss progress and resolve any pending issues. Experience with concrete works, structural steel, and building services installation is required. The position may involve working on multiple sites simultaneously, so time management and the ability to prioritise tasks are important.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices

If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, send your updated CV and a brief cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for the role. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within two weeks of the application deadline. Silverline Industries is an equal opportunity employer and does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
