What you will do:
In this role you will maintain and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and production machinery. Daily responsibilities include conducting planned maintenance activities, responding to equipment breakdowns, and carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures. You will read and interpret mechanical drawings, parts catalogues, and maintenance manuals. The role requires you to maintain accurate maintenance logs, order spare parts, and manage inventory levels for critical components. You will also support capital projects by installing new equipment and commissioning it before handover to the operations team. Experience with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis and thermography is desirable. The position requires physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
