Job Description
YP People is an outsourcing company that provides reliable, well-trained staff to leading businesses. We are recruiting energetic, courteous Trolley Attendants on behalf of a well-established retail client. You will be employed and managed by YP People and deployed to the client’s store, where you will help customers with their shopping and keep the store’s trolleys clean, available and well organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack customers’ paid items neatly into bags and trolleys.
- Help customers carry and transport their purchases, including to their vehicles.
- Collect trolleys from the store premises and surrounding areas and return them to the designated bays.
- Keep the trolley bays well stocked at all times so customers never run short.
- Collect items left by customers at the shop floor and cash counters and return them to the correct shelves.
- Clean, wash and maintain trolleys regularly. The Company provides all cleaning materials.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk and lift for long periods, and to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Friendly, polite and helpful attitude toward customers.
- Honest, punctual and able to follow instructions.
- Good teamwork and a willingness to learn.
- Basic communication skills in English and/or Kiswahili.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an added advantage but not required.
- Minimum education: [KCSE or equivalent]
