Summit Partners is a mid-sized accounting and business advisory practice with offices in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Nakuru. Founded by two former Big Four auditors in 2012, the firm serves over three hundred SME clients across manufacturing, retail, and the non-profit sector. Services include statutory audits, tax planning, outsourced CFO support, and business process reviews. Summit Partners is registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and is a member firm of the Pan-African Federation of Accountants. The team currently stands at sixty-five professionals, including eighteen certified public accountants.
What you will do:
You will coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in full. Daily tasks include scheduling shipments, tracking consignments, resolving delivery issues, and communicating with transporters, warehouse staff, and customers. The role involves maintaining accurate records of all inventory movements, conducting regular stock counts, and investigating and resolving discrepancies. You will also prepare shipping documentation, including waybills, delivery notes, and customs declarations where applicable. The position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during peak periods when order volumes are high. Experience with ERP systems and freight management platforms is an advantage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
