Applications are now open for the World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship Program 2027, a fully funded opportunity for government officials, with a closing deadline of November 16, 2026.
The fellowship aims to strengthen the capacity of government officials to use government data to improve administrative functioning and decision-making. Building on the pioneering Government Analytics Handbook, it provides participants with the knowledge, tools, and support to turn government data into actionable insights and develop projects that address real institutional challenges.
Kenyan public servants are among those eligible, and officials from ODA-eligible countries, which include Kenya, selected for the in-person track will have their Washington DC experience fully covered by the World Bank.
The Three Fellowship Tracks
Online-Only Track
A self-paced virtual experience designed for greater accessibility and flexibility, built for government officials balancing their professional responsibilities.
Immersive In-Person Track
Designed for fellows who can dedicate substantial time and effort to developing and completing a government analytics project. This track competitively selects a small cohort of officials with strategically relevant projects who are willing and able to commit to an intensive six-month programme, with backing required from both the individual and their institution.
Regional Hub Track
More localised fellowships centred around regional hubs.
