Huawei Opens 2026 Management Trainee Programme in Kenya, Targeting Fresh ICT Graduates.
NAIROBI, Kenya – June 11, 2026 – Huawei Technologies has officially opened applications for its 2026 Management Trainee Program (HMTP) in Kenya, offering a structured entry-level pathway for recent university graduates seeking to build careers in telecommunications, cloud computing, and digital transformation.
The full-time programme, lasting between 12 and 24 months, is designed to identify and develop emerging ICT professionals who will shape the future of the technology sector across the region. Unlike traditional entry-level roles, the HMTP combines formal classroom instruction, ongoing mentorship, and live project assignments to build competence in management, technology, and business operations.
A programme built for career acceleration
Successful candidates will work alongside experienced managers and gain exposure to real business challenges from day one. The curriculum includes instructor-led training modules covering ICT fundamentals, management principles, and industry best practices. Trainees will also complete rotational assignments across different departments, allowing them to build breadth of experience in both technical and business functions.
A key feature of the programme is the mentorship component, where senior staff provide one-on-one guidance on technical skills and career development. Trainees are expected to contribute to cross-functional teams responsible for product delivery, customer solutions, or internal operations, and to prepare reports and presentations documenting project outcomes and lessons learned.
Networking opportunities, including seminars and events with peers and industry professionals, are also woven into the programme structure.
Who should apply?
Huawei is targeting recent graduates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A strong academic record with evidence of consistent performance throughout university studies is required. Notably, no prior full-time work experience is necessary, making the programme particularly accessible to those finishing their undergraduate studies.
Candidates must demonstrate a clear interest in ICT, telecommunications, or technology-driven business environments. Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, as is the ability to work effectively in team settings and adapt to new environments. Applicants should also be willing to relocate or commute to Huawei’s Kenya offices for the duration of the programme.
How to apply
Interested individuals must apply exclusively through Huawei’s official career portal. The application process involves three steps:
First, applicants should open the Huawei career portal at career.huawei.com and navigate to the recruitment section for campus hires.
